Colin Spinks is our Musical Director. Colin previously conducted the Wingrave Singers from 2000-2008 and directed them in many successful trips to cathedrals around England. He then decided to leave to pursue other interests although he maintained contact with the Singers and regularly accompanied the Singers during their cathedral visits in the intervening years. We were very pleased to welcome him back as Musical Director in 2012.
Born in 1976, he is a graduate of the University of Oxford where he was organ scholar at Brasenose College and studied with Stephen Farr and David Goode. He was organ scholar at Gloucester Cathedral under David Briggs and Ian Ball.
Colin is director of music at Sanctuary in the City, St Olave's Church, Hart Street, London. Colin has been director of Thame Choral Society and is current accompanist of Aylesbury Choral society. He is also much in demand as an accompanist, repetiteur and soloist and works as a repetiteur for High Wycombe Choral Society and the North Herts Guild of Singers, Hitchin.
