Welcome to Vopag
The Village Older Person's Action group has been set up as part of the Chalfont St Peter Village Appraisal to give the older people of Chalfont St Peter the opportunity to meet together as citizens and exchange views, news and information of interest and concern.
It provides an authoritative voice to take up issues with people who can do something about them. We have speakers at our monthly meetings who talk on various topics of interest to our members. We also have an information point in Budgens, the dates are displayed on their notice board. If you would like to highlight an issue that concerns you - or just want to have a coffee and a chat....
Come Along to Meet Us!
Membership is free, but visitors to our meetings are invited to donate £2 to our funds.
The next meeting will be be onTuesday April 17th. The subject is 'No Job for a Woman - life as an immigration officer'. The speaker is Denise Beddows
Meetings start with coffee at 10am and finish about 12 noon. We normally meet in the Community Centre, Gravel Hill. (Off the A413, near the ambulance station and the football club).

The visit to Westminster Palace (29/10/2016) was a great success and was enjoyed by all who attended. This visit was especially relevant to Vopag for it was our own chairman, Mike McDonald, who was the organiser (at the instigation of 'Black Rod') for the original setting up of public tours a good many years ago. A 'photo of our Vopag group can be seen by clicking here.
In April the NHS and South Central Ambulance Service launched a service
which you can book to get you to a hospital appointment.
You can book this by calling 0300 100 0015.
You will need details of your appointment and NHS number and GP practice.
This service is called NEPTS. There is a website but it gives no details of costs.
We hope to have brochures at the next VOPAG meeting in June.
