Aylesbury Vale District Council has published a draft of the Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan (VALP) for public consultation. This will be delivered in part by Neighbourhood Plans which is where we fit into the process. This is important for us all as it gives a voice in determining where development should take place in our community. The draft is a large document of over 200 pages but we would like to draw your attention in particular to the following pages: -

  • page 65 forward, delivering a new settlement,
  • page 78 forward, delivering the allocated sites – at larger villages, (please note there is an error in the commentary column for Steeple Claydon on page 80, the shortfall should read 28 not 18),
  • page 112 forward, housing and in particular the affordable homes and housing mix sub-sections which we know are of a concern to several members of the community.

The consultation period for the VALP runs from 7 July to 5 September 2016.
