This Boxing Day get rid of those post Christmas hangovers by running them all off on this super Boxing Day 5k race in Black Park Country Park. We have offered you bargain basement entry fees to get you active again without the trimmings. UKA rules and standards apply.
Please note that minimum age for this race is 11 years on the day of the race. Dogs and buggies are not covered by the UKA race insurance so will not be allowed to start.
The race is run on well graded trails - though after forestry work and recent heavy rain, the running may not be a fast as one would expect. Runners will enjoy the scenic woodland and pine forest - even some heathland.
This is not the regular parkrun course. The start will be near Go Ape and run into the north area around the heathland and beyond Pinewood Studios. Despite the foregoing mention of forestry work the ground is suitable for standard trainers.
Standards to suit all abilities from regular athlete through to the parkrun community runner.
Cost: £4.00 UKA registered runner and £6.00 unaffiliated. Entry on the day is available for this event though it will draw a £2.00 surcharge. Online entries will close at midnight on Christmas Eve, December 24th.
