|Title||Remembrance Day - 2 minute silence at the Memorial cross|
One hundred years ago, at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, WWI ended. We will mark this with a 2 minute silence at the War Memorial. Gather at 10:50 to be ready before the 2 minute silence.
(A special service beforehand will be held in the church, see separate entry for more details.)
The day will continue after the silence in the village hall, with photographs. memorabilia and refreshments.
The Church Bells will ring during the service before this event and, together with many teams across the country, at 12.30pm and lastly at 7.05pm to mark the lighting of beacons across the country.
