Thornborough Parish Council bought the Sir Harry Moore Sports field for the village in 1999 from Sir Harry Moore for the use of the village in perpetuity. A volunteer workforce of local people built the sports pavilion.
The sports field is currently used throughout the summer by Thornborough Cricket Club, and also used to be used by Thornborough Athletic Football Club, now sadly disbanded.
The sports field and associated pavilion is available for hire, please see the following link for further detail: Sir Harry Moore Sports Field and Pavilion Hire Agreement
There is also a play area at the sports field with equipment that can be used by those over 7. For younger children there is the Playground on Nash Road.
Please remember that all dogs should be on leads at all times in both these facilities.
