Thornborough village was designated as a Conservation Area in 1971 and contains a number of Grade II listed buildings.  The Conservation Area also protects a number of Views Out to ensure the original integrity and beauty of the village is retained.

Brookfield Development 

Thornborough Parish Council are concerned that any development of the Brookfield site which was recently sold at auction would threaten the Conservation Views, impinge on the Conservation area and increase the risk of flooding in the village, already prone to flooding from the two streams running through the centre of the village which converge in this area of land.
