From 10:00am

  Visit to Brooklands, Weybridge, KT13 0QN

The museum opens at 10:00am. As a group, we will meet at The Concorde at 10:40am
in time for our “flight” aboard Concorde.

This will be self-drive (approx 40 mins from Stoke Poges) and pay on arrival.
The Museum closes at 4:00pm.  Further details to be confirmed.

  Members Evening

We will hear a talk on the restoration work that has been done on St. Giles Church
including the discovery of the wall paintings, with Q and A.

  Visit to Combermere Barracks, Windsor, SL4 3DN

Home to the Household Cavalry. We will have a tour of the barracks, stables and farriers yard.
We will also have a talk and chance to visit the museum.
Lunch in the junior ratings mess £4.00. Cost of tour to be confirmed.
The barracks are named after Field Marshal Stapleton Cotton, 1st Viscount Combermere,
who was related to the Stapletons of Stoke Place.

There is a lot to see here: The House, Officer's Mess, The Trenchard Museum,
James McCudden Flight Heritage Centre and the reconstructed WW1 trenches.


Thu 3 May 2018   Visit to Greys Court, Henley-on-Thames, RG9 4PG

This is a Tudor country house and garden (National Trust).  The house has a connection 
to the Stapletons of Stoke place. May is a good time to see the wisteria there.
