New Scrubber Arrives at Quainton Memorial Hall
The Memorial Hall committee are celebrating the arrival of a new, state-of-the-art floor scrubber, to tackle the cleaning of the main hall floor. The new machine works quickly and efficiently, lifting dirt, grime and the inevitable drink spillages from the hall floor with a solution of water and cleaning fluid, a super-fast rotating sponge scrubber, and a vacuum to remove all excess fluid, leaving the floor clean and dry.
Patrick Croker, the Hall Committee Chairman, said that the new machine has made a dramatic difference, not only to the cleanliness of the hall, but in the time needed to clean. “It used to take up to four hours to clean the hall floor, with our old machine” Patrick commented, “but now the whole job can be completed in an hour or less and to a higher standard than previously achievable. We believe it will become even more effective once funds are available to allow resealing of the hall floor, something which is on our wishlist but realistically is a little way off”.
The new scrubber cost over £1,000, even at a special discounted rate for charities, but the committee is unanimous in the view that it was “money well spent”.
