Organisers' comments
The Super Fun Run Organising Committee and the Thomas Ball Children’s Cancer Fund would like to thank you all – all those who ran in the event this year, those who came to support and especially all those who gave up their time to help with organising and running the event. The day would not have been the success it was without all of you.
As I lay in bed at six o’clock on Sunday morning, having been woken by a massive thunderclap, and listened to the torrential rain outside, I feared the worst for the day. But by eight o’clock, the rain had stopped and by ten o’clock the sun was shining. Bearing in mind the weather forecast for the day, I think we were incredibly lucky. And the result was pretty ideal conditions for the runners – as evidenced by the 950-odd runners in the two races, not to mention another 100 youngsters in the mini-marathons.
In total £10,000 was raised for our chosen charity, the Thomas Ball Charity. So thank you all for your generosity and support.

Finally thanks you once again for your support in making 2009’s event such a success. See you again next year.
