Annual Exhibition of Work
2011 Exhibition
The HughendenValley art group celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2011. Founded by local resident Jill Graves and with its weekly meetings in the small hall of the HughendenValley centre the group has grown to its maximum capacity with a list of people waiting to join when the opportunity arises. The pictures below show the hall and a few samples of works exhibited by members at the 2011 25th Anniversary Exhibition.

The exhibition ended on Sunday afternoon with a very satisfying level of sales, a contribution of £ 81 to CLIC and a sense of a job well done by everyone who contributed - either by showing their art, stewarding over the weekend or the background preparatory planning, setting up and taking down. It’s a lot of work but a great show, appreciated by everyone who came and a fitting annual celebration of the high standard of painting displayed by members.
Prior to the 2009 exhibition well known artist Charles Evans donated to the Hughenden Valley Art Group a landscape painting (see below) undertaken as a demonstration at one of our meetings. This landscape was presented to the winner of our September 2009 exhibition raffle.
