POOR BROADBAND PROVISION IN HILLESDEN
Installing a Village Networks System
Are you frustrated by the sluggish download and upload speeds provided by the Broadband service in Hillesden? Do you find you wait ages whenever you use the internet because of the abysmally slow response time?
Frustrated by the poor broadband service in Hillesden, Richard Murray has been looking into the possibility of having Village Networks install a system here, using the church tower to position a very unobtrusive node radio aerial which would be linked to small devices on individual properties. Village Networks serve about 50 villages in Bucks and adjacent counties and have just installed a network in Adstock. Communities that have installed a Village Networks system have experienced a marked improvement in their Broadband service. You will find more information in their website www.villagenetworks.co.uk.
There is currently a test installation in the church at present, so if you want to try it out, why not take along a wi-fi enabled laptop or i-pad and see for yourself the level of improvent.
Hillesden Parish Council plan to invite Village Networks along to an open evening in the church when the operation of the system the benefits to the community, and the cost of subscribing to the system will all be explained.
PLEASE COME ALONG TO THE MEETING AT ALL SAINTS CHURCH HILLESDEN, ON TUESDAY OCTOBER 1ST AT 7.00 PM.
