TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC ORDER – S14(1) ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE: DORCHESTER ROAD, DRAYTON-ST-LEONARD
A temporary road closure has been arranged to apply to Dorchester Road whilst carriageway maintenance works are carried out.
A temporary Order will be made to implement the temporary closure and will operate from 30 April 2012. The estimated duration of the works is 5 days. Notice of intention to make the Order will be published in the local press.
Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles, the works and those residents within the closure area, subject to the progress of the works.

Motorists in South Oxfordshire are set to receive a welcome boost this April, thanks to the introduction of parking initiatives which could help people save hundreds of pounds and encourage them to spend more time in the district’s town centres.
Free parking on Saturday afternoons
Starting on 14 April, parking will be free to everyone from either 2pm or 3pm (depending on the individual car park charging period) on Saturday afternoons in all district council car parks.
The scheme will run in addition to any existing free periods currently offered in our car parks. Full details will be publicised in the coming weeks.
Half-price car park season tickets
Season tickets for South Oxfordshire District Council car parks in Didcot, Goring, Henley, Thame and Wallingford will be available for half-price from 1 April 2012 for those working in the district.

The Jubilee Bank Holiday
These two big initiatives are not the only parking present on offer this year, as to help celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the district council will also allow free parking in it’s car parks on Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 June, meaning that people will be able to attend events in the towns and enjoy the celebrations with friends without having to worry about the cost of parking.
