Empowered (educated) women have smaller, more sustainable families. This is especially important in Africa whose population is growing faster than the land can sustain.
The society holds monthly meetings at the Prestwood Village Hall starting at 8:00pm on the second Thursday. We have an experienced speaker - subjects include gardening topics, natural and local history and travel. We have garden outings, plant sales, a harvest supper and a show. Members receive a newsletter four times a year and qualify for discounts at local nurseries.
Prestwood Nature aims to protect and enhance the quality of the natural environment in the Prestwood area through the involvement of local residents.
