More about Chameleon
A highlight of our autumn programme is the annual McMillian Coffee Morning held this year at a member’s home on the last Friday of September. It was a well attended event with the coffee, Tea and cakes lasting long into the afternoon as people dropped by to drink, chat and raise funds for charity.
We had another of our “Meet & Greet” evenings over at the White Lion in Cryers Hill in September. This is a chance to meet new and existing members over a drink at this quiet pub with the advantage of not being as busy as those in High Wycombe Town Centre. A day out at the Kop Hill Climb in Princes Risborough was an enjoyable event for the motor fans amongst us. There was also Live Music at Dusty’s Blues Club in Holmer Green and an evening meal at The Bellcote near Chesham making up just a small number of our events across the autumn.
Some events run monthly such as the Friday Lunch Club and Pub Night on the first and last Friday respectively. These are great regular events to meet up with other members offering both a daytime and evening event. We also go to the theatre, cinema, live music performances, comedy evenings, and various other events and trips out throughout the year. As the cooler days of winter approach once again we will be doing more in the great indoors.
All our events are open to new members with the Pub Night a great place to meet up. You would be very welcome to come along and join us for a drink on the last Friday of the month at The Crown, Amersham Road, Hazlemere from 7:30pm. There is food available if you wish to skip the cooking at home and many members take that opportunity!
If you are single, 40 – 60’s, looking for a great social life and new friends then why not give us a try? There are no strangers at Chameleon, just new friends to be made in a social group run by and for its members. We have several local people from South Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas and you would be very welcome too.
