Additional Information

The Buckingham Wine Circle was founded in 1971 to enable people interested in winemaking to meet together socially and engage in activities furthing the interest and enjoyment of amateur winemaking. As a secondary object to promote greater knowledge and appreciation of wines in general, including those made commercially. Over the years interest in making home wine has gradually declined and in 2007 the club decided to cease competions for home made wine. The main aim now of the club is the enjoyment and appreciation of wine with several professional presentations during the year augmented at times by the several wine experts amongst our members. Running a close second to the enjoyment of fine wines is the friendship and fellowship of our members, with socials at members' houses. The club meets once a month at the Buckingham Community Centre with meetings normally on the third Thursday of the month. The annual membership fee is £25.00. For further details or if you are interested in joining please telephone a committee member at 01280 813427/815756.
